The Institute of Applied Physics is located at the Johannes-Kepler-University Linz. The fundamental research work concentrates on laser matter interactions, soft matter and solid state physics. Additionally, the institute is involved in application-oriented research, in particular in co-operation with industry. Here, various topics are studied, even such without any connection to the main fields presently under investigation.
The group consists of about 20 coworkers. Besides, there are several visiting scientists and scholarship holders.
